Hi… I’m the dog you’ll help in 2026.

 

We haven’t met yet.

You don’t know my story, my name, or the things I’ve survived.

But I already know one thing about you:

 

You’re the reason I’ll get a second chance.

 

Sometime next year, I’ll arrive at a foster home — safe, warm, and ready to learn what love really feels like.

Maybe I’ll be scared.

Maybe I’ll be sick.

Maybe I’ll have never known kindness before.

 

But someone will say, “It’s okay now — we’ve got you,”

and that moment will exist because you made it possible.

 

You’ll help fund the freedom ride that pulls me from a place where hope ran thin.

You’ll help pay for the vet visit that starts my healing.

You’ll help the foster family who teaches me that:

• soft beds are for sleeping

• humans can be trusted

• even the shyest pups can learn new tricks

• life can be full of moments that make my tail wag and my heart soar

 

I won’t know any of this at first.

I’ll just feel safe — maybe for the first time in my life.

 

And one day, when I finally find the person who’s been waiting for me…

when I curl up in my loving new home, belly-up and snoring,someone will take a picture and post it online with a caption like,

 

“Look at him now.”

 

But the truth is:

that happy ending starts with you — with the people who believe in second chances before they even know who they’re for.
