ADOPTION PROCESS
We rescue dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. Our adoption process is as individual as our dogs. If you'd like to meet one of our amazing dogs, please begin by filling out an adoption application.

Complete Adoption Application
This tells us about you and your lifestyle and background with animals. Once your application is confirmed and received, you will have an opportunity to interact with the dog in your home so that everyone in the family, including kids and other pets, have a chance to get to know one another in a relaxed setting.
Our Adoption Coordinator will reach out to you shortly after your application is submitted.
Schedule Home Visit
We'll schedule a home visit with the dog and if all goes well, we'll process the final adoption paperwork. A trial adoption period may be considered based upon circumstances.
It sometimes may take up to 5 days to complete an adoption mostly due to adopter/volunteer schedules. We thank you for your time and patience throughout the process.
Please note: For some dogs, particularly popular breeds or puppies, we receive many applications. We may allow multiple applicants to meet with the dog/pup before a forever home is chosen based upon the best fit. We will notify you if there are multiple applicants upon receipt of your application.
ADOPTION FEE
Adult Dogs (over 6 months of age) $250 + $50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable.
Puppies (under 6 months) $250 + $50 refundable Spay/Neuter deposit + $50 refundable Training deposit.
Senior Dogs $125 +$50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable.
**Please note: We encourage all newly adopted dogs to attend basic training (positive reinforcement) class with their adopters as it starts everyone off the right way and helps to build a trusting bond between dog and adopter. In most cases, this will be a requirement and a $50 refundable Training deposit fee will be applied to adoption and refundable upon proof of class completion.
The adoption fee includes all age-appropriate vaccines (unless otherwise stated) including:
Rabies, DHPPL Vaccine (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo, and Leptospirosis), Bordetella (canine cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test (de-worming) and microchip. All dogs, except young pups, are sterilized before adoption. At the time of adoption, you will receive a copy of the dog’s medical records and microchip information.
All dogs, regardless of their personality and background, go through an adjustment period when they move to a new environment. There will be a period of a few days, weeks or in some cases months during which your new pet’s personality is emerging and growing while you get to know one another. Please remember that this is a stressful time for a dog and hopefully we will be able to work together to make this a lifetime relationship for you and your rescue dog.
