Home for the  holidays...

The holidays are a special time of year filled with love, hope, and most importantly, family.  Our mission is to not only find loving new families for homeless dogs welcomed into our foster program, but to keep dogs out of shelters and with the people who love them.

In 2022, Waggin’ Tails made a small shift to owner-support and pet-retention after spay-neuter surgeries stalled during the pandemic and pet parents began to feel the economic pinch.  Animal shelters nationwide began to fill to capacity.  We decided to focus on assisting struggling pet parents with funds to pay for life-saving, emergency vet care for their dogs preventing beloved pets with homes from being relinquished.

Additionally, we have partnered with local animal welfare organizations to provide collars, leashes and harnesses at low-cost vet clinics for Dearborn and Detroit residents.
