Volunteers Needed!!

Be a Waggin' Tails Foster Family!

We need compassionate individuals to provide warm, safe temporary homes to animals in desperate need. Each day, thousands of dogs are euthanized at area shelters and humane societies (the latest statistics in Michigan). Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue could help so many more if we had people willing to share their heart and home with a needy animal. You will be SAVING A LIFE!!

Fostering a needy dog is extremely rewarding. It just takes some time, lots of love and some patience. Many of the animals we take in are well adjusted, good animals. They just need a temporary warm home to rest their head and get some love and attention. Many times, a home can be found for a foster dog within several weeks. Sometimes, a bit longer and of course, there are those dogs that have had a rougher life than others and will need a longer stay in a foster home until they are ready to go out into the world again.

Do you love dogs as much as we do?

Cory needs foster!

Waggin' Tails covers all vet expenses, food, etc. for your foster dog - we just need the use of your home. We utilizes the internet to place most of it's animals, so your physical location is not important. While many of our current foster homes are located on the west side of South East Michigan, we are looking to expand our area to include Macomb County.

 Puppy Fosters Needed!!!

We are in special need of people who would be willing to foster litters of pups from time to time. Some times, the pups will need to be with their mothers until of age. So if you would be interested in only doing this type of fostering, please contact us today! We are always in need of these special type of fosters!!

Fostering is not the only area where we need help. We have other volunteer positions that involve helping at our area adoption events, fund raising, transporting animals & supplies, etc.. Fund raising is particularly important to us to continue our efforts. If you cannot provide a temporary home to a dog, but would still like to help, call us. Just a few hours a week would help us tremendously! Contact Sandy at dspatton1@sbcglobal.net, if interested.
